In-Person Tarot Readings

My in-person readings happen at 13 Magickal Moons in Occoquan, VA. Reading prices at the store are $20 and $30 per reading, and I accept cash as well as MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

 

The dates and times I will be reading there are listed below, but please note: ALL DATES AND TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Please check the website frequently!

 

13 Magickal Moons is a metaphysical store, and caters to Witches, Wiccans and other Pagan spiritual paths. It is a wonderful place where I am honored to read tarot, and it is owned by my best friend and my Head High Priestess, Rev. Samantha Harvey.  

Readings are done on a first come, first served basis, so please sign up on the list, which is on the tarot table, when you arrive at the store. Please DO NOT call the store to schedule an appointment; I don’t take appointments for in-store readings.

In-Person Tarot FAQ

1) Where do you read for people in person?

2) Do  you read at any other stores?

No, but if you're interested in a distance reading via phone or internet or a private reading or tarot party at your home or other location, use the links to the left for additional information.

3) How often do you read at 13 Magickal Moons?

It depends but usually at least four times per month, divided up between Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons.

4) How do I know which days you'll be reading?

Check this website or www.13magickalmoons.com. I try to update it once a month.

5) Can I make an appointment for a reading at the shop?

No. I don't take appointments for in-store readings. All are done on a first-come, first served basis. If you are looking to be read on a specific date and time, please schedule a private or distance reading or a tarot party.

6) How much does a reading cost? And how long does it take?

Readings are $20 and $30 and take between 15 and 25 minutes.

7) So when I arrive at the shop and want a reading, what do I do?

I have a list on my tarot table, so come on over and sign up. I'll get to you as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience!

8) How and where do I pay you?

You can pay me directly at the table when your reading is done, and you can use MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, or cash.

9) Can I pay you for other store purchases?

No. Store items are purchased at the register.

10) What can I do while I'm waiting for a reading?

Shop, of course! Look around and you will find some amazing items in this shop!

11) 13 Magickal Moons is a metaphysical shop, and I'm not comfortable being in one of them. What should I do?

I'd suggest one of three courses of action:

· Get over yourself, walk through the door and have a reading.

· Contact me via email for a reading

· Find another tarot reader. If you don't feel comfortable in the shop, you won't be comfortable with me, either.

Sadly, in the past, some of my clients who have had in-store readings have been rude or discourteous, or have shown a disdain or intolerance for Wicca/Witchcraft. As  a practicing Witch and a close friend of the store owner, any disrespect shown to the store, its employees, or merchandise is also disrespectful to me.

If you choose to come into the shop, you will treat everyone everything in it with respect. Choose to behave otherwise and I can choose not to read for you. Karma's a bitch, folks.

12) Are in-store readings private?

No, not per se. They are done in the front of the shop where others may hear them, but I do my best not to announce it to other customers who may be nearby.

If you need total privacy, schedule a private reading in your home.

13) Can I bring others to listen to my reading, or will that bother you?

That's up to you. It won't bother me in the least, but as you consider bringing someone, keep in mind that they will hear everything I have to say to you. Consequently, you should pick people who can keep what they hear confidential. Please let your companion(s) know this and hopefully they will understand the implications of this responsibility; they should not share what they hear, in whole or in part, to anyone without your express permission to do so.

14) Can I bring paper and a writing utensil, tape recorder, or other recording device to help me remember my reading?

Absolutely! I encourage it. If you choose to record me, however, it must be for your own private use and should not be stored where just anyone can get it (like on a website, for example.

15) Is there anything I shouldn't bring when I come in for a reading?

Yes. When having a tarot reading, you probably should NOT bring:

· Children. This is a judgement call on your part, but if you can't take the time for the reading by yourself or have someone to take care of a child during your reading, then you should probably return another time without them.

· Any person who you're asking me about--in other words, if you're worried that your significant other is cheating on you, don't bring him/her along.

16) Will you do a reading for my minor child?

With the permission of a parent or adult guardian, absolutely! I won't read for ANYONE under 17 without the presence of a responsible adult.

17) How do I know when you're ready for me?

I'll call you over. Don't rush over and sit down; I may be taking a break.

18) Can I touch things on the table?

If you ask and are given permission, or if I invite you to touch something, absolutely. Ideally, you should ASK ME FIRST. :)
